depends how much shield she wants, the factory shield is great, probably the best smaller shield you will find, or if she like a big ol shield, and is tall, the Dakota tall 3.0 is a good choice, too
Others have had good luck with Memphis Shades, and slipstreamer
How tall does she need the shield to rise above the headlight? (you want her looking over the shield, not through it, two plastic visors (helmet, shield) will cause distortion)

I like the wind, (and BUGS, Bees, Grasshoppers, June Bugs, Dragonflies, etc.), to hit the top of my helmet. Not my forehead, eyes, mouth, or neck.

Have her sit on the bike, (Riding position)
look straight ahead, (Level),
then measure up, from the top of the headlight,
to 2" below where she is looking, (at the angle of the forks).
That measurement, is, 'usually,' the best number for height.

That usually works fairly well for me.

there is no way to not feel the wind on a motorcycle, the biggest sheild in the world can't block it all, the best you can do is reduce the wind
MN spring has it right, measure to below her line of sight (about even with the tip of her nose is about right) this will kick most of the wind up and over, and make a nice bubble of farly calm air so the wind isn't blasting her like a hurricane
Whe you feel no wind at all during travel, you're in a car Grin

Proper footwear, not typical Lady's shoes. Leather gloves. Full coverage helmet. Take the safety class.

Windshields work their best when they are straight up and down, perpendicular to the road. Following the angle of the forks is a quick way to get serious buffeting of your helmet. I'm 6'2", have the seat lifted better than an inch in the front, and use a Slipstreamer HD-0 handlebar mounted shield, installed fully upright. Used to run a Memphis Shades Big Shot on tweaked Kawasaki VN800A fork mounts. Went from a 21" tall shield down to a 15" shield, with the same net effect. The smaller shield works great, yet looks better.

Any handlebar mounted small to medium shield is adequate. Memphis Shades, Rifle, National Cycle, Slipstreamer, Maier... it doesn't matter who made it, as long is it is mounted correctly.

Hmmmm my shield is by necessity mounted following the line og the forks, I don't notice helmet buffetting
I do notice the Slipstreamer on my bigger bike seems to block wore air at a more upright angle, though, can't argue that at all

JC Stkoes, the factory sheild sells for $125 at motosport, that's not even close toexpensive
