Thanks! It fits me perfectly. Dave was right about the tank lights. With my helmet on, you don't even see them. Looking forward to starting it up Wednesday! Left it out in the sun a bit today to help with the curing. Already had a thumbs up from a friend driving by!

So looking forward to taking it to work. My students and some of the staff have been curious about it!

Took it out for it's first ride! AWWWW YEAH!!!!!!! Cool It handles beautifully, even with the fatter tires. I feel more in control. It isn't a whip around type feeling, in fact it handles slower but feels more connected to the road. I think the suspension changes and weight transfer have a lot to do with it as well.
One thing I did find out is that my plate lever mechanism didn't work. I only went about 7 miles when I heard TWANG! I pulled over and the roller wheel had blown off and the plate had tucked under the tire. Angry Eh, I made it home and hammered it back out. The plate doesn't look great but at least I made the project out of soft metal so it would give away instead of binding up. I'll figure something else out. For now I'll just remount the plate a little more level to the ground and see if I can get away with that. Smiley
Other than that, (and a very minor fork leak), things are going very well. The carb is right on the money so far and it started right up after only about 3 cranks this morning. idled perfectly. I did move the throttle cable from the right side of the frame to the left as it was revving up when I turned right.

Spent a bit of time on it yesterday. Got the plate flattened back out, took off the rear taillight assembly. I need to get some locknuts as everything is vibrating loose. Smiley I went with plain nuts first so I could pull things apart quickly. Things are looking better. I remounted the plate at a closer to level angle and have it still "bumpable" so it can go up if necessary. The bottom middle of the plate got ripped and mangled so I slipped the remaining piece of plastic I had from the tank switch gasket over the edge. Looks much better. Was going to ride today but we got hit with an UGLY downpour. Maybe tomorrow. Smiley

Yeah, I wasn't as thorough as I should have been with loctite on some of the fasteners, and as a result had to pick some parts up from the road. I too replaced plain nuts with nyloc nuts and loctite for good measure.

Ahhhhhhh.... Cool
After a long wait from going on vacation (We love Arizona!) and dealing with teaching schedules and lousy weather, I was able to put about 14 miles on the bike today. I love this thing! Grin The mirrors need adjustment or replacing (still deciding) and a few nuts and bolts need tightening down but it runs beautifully, the tires are VERY nice and it's just a good thing to get the warm mojo back! Came back from the ride, got cleaned up and had 2 great classes at school tonight. Just ordered a backpack so I can load up the laptop and folders to ride it to work next week! Oh this feels good!

I like it.  I'm really interested in the RYCA bikes, may even need to make it a winter project.  Congrats on a great build
