I rode hard and went through a rear tire a year, I ran about 5,000 a season, Texas has long seasons and I had good gear,so, some cold weather riding, too. I never got around to the Michelin, wish I had, I DO know that they made a huge difference on my car in the early 80's. I ran the Dunlop, and it never gave me the "I'm about to drop you" feeling the stock tires did. I USED that insecure feeling to learn to ride in low grip places. I hated that tire, but knew it was teaching a valuable lesson. My riding style changed so fast when I ditched that piece of crap,, I got a cheap, GRIPPY,tire that made about 3,000 miles, went for another, it died in about 2,000 and didn't feel as sure footed, so, I started spending more and tried the Dunlop, if I was still riding I'd try Michelin and Dunlop and decide.. Orr, go Darkside, and stop changing tires every 5,000 miles.. But that's a whole nother topic.
