I had the day off so I went for a ride through the Natchez Trace.  Here are a few pics.  A nice and relaxing place, enjoy.   Smiley

MMRanch:

I went through a stretch starting about 10 miles north of Jackson and went about 40 miles east - north east.  To nice of a day not to go out and enjoy it.

OK....I am having a hard time relating to this post.

It is 12 degrees here this morning.  The ground is frozen hard and there is a bit of snow on the ground, and where the grass is visible it is a light shade of brown.  The roads are covered with a thick layer of salt left over from the rain/snow event that occurred a couple days ago.

I had a dream last night about signing up for a group ride......but then I woke up and had to face reality.

Glad you got to sneak in a winter ride......I was able to go for a short ride around our country block a couple of weeks ago when the temperature got up into the high 40's.  I took the little Honda S65 - as it does not go real fast and that keeps the wind chill down and makes the lap around the block last longer.

WOOT! looks like a good ride!

Wife and I went Sunday.. but it was real blustery, so we only made about 30 miles and then turned for home.  We rode our "normal" Clinton MS ( West of Jackson) heading southwest to Natchez. We turned around at Hwy 27.

Nice.
There are lots of how-to's on how to winterize a motorcycle, but, the bestest way is to keep the machine ready to ride and closely watch those weather reports.

I agree.  Actually, I put on 884 miles so far this month.  I rode a little when the highs made it to the higher 50's twice and I rode a bit when it was real cold.  Frost on the ground, low 20s cold.  Low 40s feels a whole lot more tolerable when you get used to some real cold weather.    Huh
