Hey gang,
Got a simple but fun thing you can do.
1. Take your phone, if it has an audio recording app, and start your bike. It's actually best to start it and let it warm up first then turn it off. If you only can do it with a laptop with a video recorder, that will work too.
2. Have someone stand behind the exhaust about two feet and have them hit record. Quickly start the bike and give it a few good revs and then drop back to idle. Record this for about 12 seconds.
3. Now some phones allow you to take the recording and make it direct ringtone.
If you use a Crapple product, you'll have to run it through iTunes.
4. Now to fine tune the sound, download audacity
http://audacity.soundforge.net (It's totally free.) and download the sound recording of the revs to your computer. Open the file in audacity and using the editor, you can clip the beginning and end if necessary. Then export it as a wav.
5. You can then upload this into your phone into the ringtone folder OR save it as a song in your music folder. Go into your settings and select it for your ringtone.
I found a ryca video on youtube, stripped the video and edited it down to the start and revs. So now I have a fun ringtone.
