Some of these bikes sit in the crate or on the showroom floor for years before being run. As long as there is no fuel in them and they are in a dry place.....they hold up well.
A friend and I built a sandblast cabinet from wood, and it worked well. Be sure to have good lights inside, and a good vacuum or fan to pull the dust out - without the vacuum the inside of the cabinet can get so dusty you can't see anything. Also be aware that even with a good vacuum the sandblaster will make a lot of dust floating around in the air.
Thanks Dave. When you built your cabinet did you design the bottom flat or tapered down with a small flap to empty the media? A flat bottom would be easier to build but a tapered easier to recycle the media.
