Any chance of jumping in on this last minute. I'd have to hammer out a trailer for the bike since it's a 1400 mile trip for me 1 way. But I think I can manage the time off. As busy as I've been I could use a few days with fellow bikers on some good terrain.

If you can manage the friday till tuesday with 2 travel days you can come with me.  I'm loading mine into the truck and 2 should fit, but trailer would be easier.

You bet!!  I've added you to the list on the first post, which has been reordered based on likeliness of attendance... more or less.

Please let us know your intention for sleeping accommodations so we fight over cabin space in a civilized manner!  Grin

Yeah I spoke too soon. Brought it up to the wife last night and was met with an angry face. Then quickly reminded of the conference she has that very weekend while being scorned for my inability to remember important stuff she is involved with. Now not only am I not going to be able to attend but I have to do damage control because I forgot.

Welllll. that will learn ya.
It is easier to get forgiveness than permission!!!  Then again.. disappearing for a few days might be a bit tough to get forgiveness on.

This is HER conference.  She gets to go ... and you .. what?  Stay home and take care of kids, pets, etc??

Just kidding..   Sorry you can't make it.. and I have removed you from the first post..  Sad

The weather in middle TN. was sunny with a cold "North" wind yesterday and this morning 24 deg.   Makes me wonder why I didn't stay in ElPaso when I got out of the Army ?

Enjoy it  and we'll join ya in a couple weeks !  Wink

I didn't ride today even though it was a beautiful sunny day here in Houston.  But I did ride yesterday which was also a great day. I bought a sleeping bag,  my new rear tire has arrived, I did the seat mod and I think the cam chain tensioner is good for at least a couple thousand more miles. Just need to get rear tire mounted and figure out just how to strap things down. Getting anxious.

LOL, went to the travel section of wally world to get newer personal travel items..... haven't been out since my "incident" Smiley
Oh man.... got me a seven day "pill dispenser", gads... am I gettin' old or what? I figured I would have about 20 more years before I bought one of these things! Shocked Roll Eyes
Bought a new magnesium fire starter thing.... just because it was kewl... and a newer emergency kit for the road.
Going to camp out in the yard for a few nights this week, for practice... but hopefully I will have a cabin spot  Undecided Cool
I have fashioned a cushion for my tushie.... but since I put a 'T' shirt over the pad, it slides a bit... maybe i'll sew on some of that cabinet no slip stuff....
