No Art :    Roll Eyes

Granny has a fancy cam , and is dumping so much fuel in the air flow that he only gets about 85 miles to a "TANK" of gas  , that not a gallon but "Tank" full.  Grin    OldFeller's bike did a good job keeping up with the 1200 Sportster I used to have.

I don't know what Lancer was running in his at the time ?

But I've always had a big shield.

oh, he was being facetious
as far as Lancer, i think I've read some of his mods somewhere, and if I'm not mixed him up for someone else (which is very possible), his bike is far from stock
heck, he has a Savage 'Hot rod shop' here on the forum

when I say I've hit 90 on mine, that was no shield, feet on the rear pegs, and crouched a bit, but I can hit 85 pretty easy even with the spitfire
Got my Dakota 3.0 Tall ordered as of today, plus an oil filter and clymer manual  Cool

I'm in, do we have a club patch?

So what do we really want to call this ride?
Texas Dragon?
Texas Savage?
Savage Longhorn?
the dragons sister?
Not the dragon?

If you want a patch, you're gonna have to make one.

Actually that patch thing was in response to this post by oldfeller

My granny cycle is just an old "corroded looking" 2002 Savage.   My rear tire is older than some of your motorcycles.   I have never drugged my carburetor with any form of beer or hops so I'm not hopped up.

I am the silver haired poster boy for the Little old ladie's riding assotiation

i am gonna get me some 'twisted sister' ts if I see some I like though

I would be an....unfortunate choice of a person to design a patch lol

Would Love to go with y'all! Problem is I'm in Montana right now going to school. Have to move to KY in June, then I can see what kind of time I'll have, but oh, it sounds like fun.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut between the seat and the handlebars. Make sure yours isn't too tight or too loose.

The Simple Truth, all of it.   You will see when you finally make it to the Dragon, I have an old corroded original 2002 Savage with the same old rear tire Dave remembers back from when he first started riding with us cause it was brand new way back then.

Dave made him a new bike out of his old one, then he went and bought two newer ones, MM got at least 2 new ones because Lancer killed one of his Sportsters and MM replaced his Savage and then got him a new Sportster and I still have the same ol' rear tire on the same old bike and haven't worn it out yet.   Dave and MM have both replaced the rear tires on their new bikes at least once by now, too ....   I am still putting around on my $59 Nexxen with half the tread still left on it.

Jest a putt putt putt putting along .... that's all I really do.    Harmless, really.

Toymaker used to make us up shirts for each ride, but that ended when he did.

I've got a 19" memphis slim (mounts on the forks) , also got a 17" that uses the same mount ... The Sportster uses the same mount also.  Its easy (90 seconds) to switch em around,  or even remove them for a day . Wink

I'm going back to check out the " MotorcycleStopShop" thingie ! Smiley

Is this where we're going ?  Roll Eyes

This is a neat patch !   Cool

Yeah, uh huh, MM busted you already, hot rod

My new sheild is here! I wanna mount it, but it's sorta chilly out side

I see my bank account taking a hit at that store in Leaky, and that patch would look nice on my leather jacket too

I am oleased you can't order the shirts off the 'net at this time, I think you should at least have to show up to get one

I won't wear 'official tour Tshirts' from concerts I never went to, either

I haven't seen Border Patrol any where near where I ride.. ever.
With that said.. try not to use the word "gringo" when addressing the Border Patrol.  It might cause a slight misunderstanding.  Wink

It looks like I probably wont' make it after all.  :'(

I wrecked the bike last week. I think it's ride-able except for a footpeg thats bent all to hell, but I haven't really been able to check it out.

My leg got injuried - no fractures - just to punctures and some road rash. I'm hobblin around the house but thats about it for right now.

Now the wife is bugging me to get rid of the bike. Love her, but love riding too.

If me and the bike are going by then - then I'll happily join y'all, but most likely not.
