Went up for a Saturday ride!
Was a great time... sound barrier broken (local sheriff/park ranger? can prove that)
roads tested (road one, savage zero, just a scratch and a few broken pieces
some lost, some found (people, not roads)
                             good eatin! (bbq was great!)
lots of story tellin' material! (that's what we do it fer)

All in all, I had a great time with the guys! Can't wait until sept. run! Smiley

Whoops forgot my pic slideshow link....

Modified one of the group pictures, let me know if you can't read it, i'll try to make the text bigger.
The new photo bucket editor is really terrible for me to try to use... I just used windows paint and went from there.
I also edited some of the photo's titles

Well I just made it home.  Now I have to unpack everything and set it all up to clean it and let it dry!  While we were out riding yesterday a heavy rain storm hit the campground.

I had a great time as usual......Now I have to go back to work tomorrow! Angry

I'm back, with a car to unpack tomorrow AM when it is a lot cooler.

I left Fayetteville with temps in the mid to upper 80s and I come back to 103oF which was quite a surprise because we only got up in the low 80s the entire time we were there in the mountains, with some few days topping out in the low 70s due to clouds, etc.

What to say about the trip?   It was fun, and it was plenty long enough.  We were able to feed the Dragon one of the VRS's knees and one wrist (small bandaid sized spots) so all the appropriate sacrifices were made voluntarily in a very willing fashion (we didn't have to go take one of the newbies down Vampire Road for an unwilling donation).

When I left Lancer and Verslagen were busy taking Lancer's rear end off (them parts rich folks just change out the whole stinkin' wheel, they don't seem to have to fight putting on tires).

Good trip ......

Art is back in Columbus and I am back in Houston. We did hit some rain just as we entered Texas from Louisiana but it was not as bad as we expected even though Art indicated the power was out at his apartment when he got home.

The trip was a blast. I can't believe how much fun we had. Good roads, good food and good people. You cant't beat it.

Oldfeller, special thanks to you for tending to my wounds. Thanks to all for helping me pickup my Savage and checking it out to make sure it was still road worthy (barely a scratch other the the footpeg being bent into a U shape). Thanks Steve for actually having a hammer with you (yeah, I don't think anybody could believe he actually had a hammer with him) which allowed us to pound the footpeg straight.

Thanks everyone. This was just a great, fun experience.

Had a great time, even if I was the drag man this trip out (i am officially Captain Slow, sorry about that guys)
thanks to Springman for helping make this trip possible, to Lancer for jets and escort service (apparently you was assigned my guardian angel this trip out  Grin) Versy for carb tuning services (I should mail you a check buddy) Oldfeler for coaching, and everyone for good company, and for patience when I got frustrated a time or two
I have yet to run my photos on Photobucket, but will post the few I took later (mostly it's scenery)
had heavy rain and crazy truck drivers from Houston to Columbus, and my power was out  Grin
we need to find a moto magazine to hire us to do this for a living, so we can just stay at it all the time  Grin
