Added a new sticker to the bike today. I'm going with the industrial aesthetic.  Smiley

Also, several weeks ago I had a misadventure at the gas pump...

I parked at the pump with my exhaust away from the pump. A mom with two kids was heading back to her car as I was heading in to the store. The toddler, probably 4-5 years gave me a heart attack as he ran around their car and the pump to my bright shiny motorcycle. Somehow he managed to start climbing the bike without burning himself before his mom could get to him.

Watch out for the children.

Yeah, I thought of that too.

Maybe the parents will be able to read.

Shortly after I got my S40 I rode it over to
my buddy's house to show it to him.
He was wearing shorts and promptly leaned
his leg against the exhaust pipe.
He still has the scar two years later.
Now I'm always careful to watch people who
aren't familiar with motorcycles.

I had the same searing realization when I thought I was lucky to get the parking spot next to the door and parked head in with the hot pipe nearest the door.  As I was walking in, I held the door for a family with an unleashed toddler (hand or otherwise) ... that's when I realized I'm not taking that spot anymore.   Huh

I came out of a  grocery store once,...  and a Mexican woman was putting her children up on my bike like it was a sidewalk coin ride... (no it wasn't parked on the sidewalk)...
3 kids!...  they got sticky handprints and footprints all over the seat and tank...
I was too dumbfounded to say anything... so, I just watched for minute from a distance...
Undecided...

Its a neat decal, but its a lot like the 'Harmful or fatal if swallowed" on a gas can.. Anyone who can read it doesnt need that info,,

There's no problem that a full tank of gas and a sunny day can't fix!

Oh yeah, grab some grease off the bottom of your bike... if you can find any and leave a couple of paw prints on the hood.   Cool

In 1956 a 4 year old boy grabbed the blue section of the exhaust pipe on my Triumph Thunderbird and he is still scarred.

In 1960 a lot of the girls in Lancaster County Pennsylvania had burn marks on their calves from leaning against my new Sportster. I would have loved to hear them explaining the burn mark to their mothers.

A certain amount of people have to get burned to know something is hot.
