Old Iron Coast to Coast

For some strange reason the local paper lets us know about things that have already happened. Missed the start of this yesterday morning, here's a link to the event

http://www.motorcyclecannonball.com

All the bikes are pre 1937 and will be ridden coast to coast, almost 4,000 miles. Gotta love it for what it is. Smiley

I just happen to be in Boise for business next week, I'm pretty sure they will have a scheduled stop that Thursday/Friday at the local HD/Indian shop there. Going to see if I can't swing by  Cool If I do I will snap some of my own pics to post

That is absolutely COOL !

I only wonder why bikes must be pre-1937 (off date, isn't it?) instead of "must be at least 50 years old"...

I, for one, would LOVE to see an old Panhead head to head with an old Triumph Tiger or a Benelli, Gilera, BMW, whatever...

Wink

Six of the cannonball bikes just rode by while I was walking my puppies. So Cool.

Great....some of them are still running. Smiley

The folks who are now pushing their bikes will be along in a little while. Sad

Regrettably, my conference ran too long & I didn't make it there in time. I did see one leaving the area but not in time to catch a pic, then a saw a Ryca café bike on my way back to my room. Was the first Ryca that I've seen in person & it was cruising on the freeway at about 70mph, looking good  Cool
