Just wondering if anyone has done business with Dime City Cycles. I'm thinking of purchasing a 7" headlamp from them.

Also open to suggestions if anyone knows of a good quality lamp out there.

Thanks

I've had good luck with them.

Picked up a 7 incher in black, similar to the one you're looking at, as well as some gauges and other odds and ends.

Price was fair, shipping was as expected. I'll buy from them again.

They were great to me. But I also live in Florida where they are located so that definitely improved the shipping speed. They are a cool company and have a neat philosophy about how they run their business. I care about that kinda stuff though lol.

I bought rear sets, ball ends, headlight mounts, front fender and more stuff from them.  It all was good - the front fender and headlight mounts did not work and there was no problem returning them.

If you do get that light, let us know about the quality.  I almost ordered one of their black headlights - and another member said it was a cheap plastic bucket and lense.  You most likely can change the 35/35 watt H4 bulb for a normal size 65/55 and get more light from it.  I don't ride a lot of miles and the Silverstar lasts long enough to make it worthwhile in my bike.  They burn out in less than a year in my car (12,000 miles or so).

We need a source for a good headlight.

Hey, I did find a really nice lamp overseas but it is just too pricey for me right now. I'm hoping the Dime City Lamp is really made of metal as advertised.

Here's a link to some sweet headlamps.

Ive used Dime city a bunch of times. They have always given me great service.

I used this combo and I love it.

The bucket is metal and really well built.  I love that it has the threads built in and I dont have to monkey with a nut on the inside of the bucket.  The lens is glass and the H4 bulb is really bright.  I comes in flat black, I threw a clear coat on it and it looks perfect gloss black now.

Really happy with it.

I got the same bucket as Spamy, it is indeed metal. Pretty thin, but metal none the less.

As far as the lamp goes, Dave's right, it's hard to find a good one aftermarket for conversion purposes. I'm trying something a little different. Since a fuel injection conversion is in my future I need to free up some watts for the fuel pump and ECU. I'm a dealer for Truck-Lite so I went searching their catalog and came up with this.

Pricey, but good lord you should see it lit up!

............I really need to start a build thread one of these days......Hmm...

I like Dime City good prices and good quality stuff, I got my bucket from Demon Cycles. Demon's stock seems to rotate/change every few months, but I am very happy with the quality of bucket for the price I paid with them  Wink
