Extended Speedometer cable

I'm in need of a extended speedometer cable to mount all the way up to my risers for my 96' ls650 Ryca Bobber. I've been riding without a speedo for several months and the connections doesn't seem to be leaking that much oil or anything. Are there any solutions to caping the connection off from debris in the meantime?

Ryca sells the extended cable for $60, but I wanted to find out if any one knows where I can find this cable else where on the net for cheaper.

I just bought one 2 weeks ago, just be sure to take the seal as well. My cable came from ebay, NOS with the seal for 24$. Marc
