Hello. I am new to the forum. I currently own a Vstar and a XS650 bobber build. I am looking to do a bobber build of a Savage. Any suggestions, recommendations or advice from previous builds? Thanks !

At the top of this Rubber Side Down section, is a link to the Bike Build threads.  You might start by looking in there.

These two bobber looks are popular enough to market as kits:

As for looks...whatever you like.I personally like the Mustang style tanks.Sporty tanks are over used on any bobber builds.I use them on my Savage builds because of the frame design.I had to modify my backbone to get the Mustang tank to work. But that's on a stock frame. You can run about any style tank with the new backbone.Electrics, keep the stock harness and just eliminate whatever you are not using.

Yes sir, I also tooled and dyed  the leather as well. I had a build thread on here but I moved my pics around in my photobucket account and broke all the links in the thread. I may start a new thread this evening if I get some free time.
