There is plenty of advise available on stator testing,
but no picts or exact info for a How-to.
any body up to the task?

Plenty of demo's on Youtube... (all bikes are pretty much the same)...
I'd volunteer,.. but my underseat wiring was fried a few years ago, and looks very...... ummmm, non-stock...

I had a bit of battery trouble about a year ago and did both of these. Looks about the same from what I remember.
Since my bike is in running condition but torn apart and not rideable, I'll keep this in mind over the next week or two. If I have some free time I'll make a video. I'll reference the clymer's and be as thorough as I can.
