Clamp for Harley muffler

Ok...new guy here BUT...I have read ALL the muffler changeovers, AND did the search AND looked at pictures that would load.

Which clamp actually works the best? Only want to do this once. Pop for a wide HD clamp?? Stock Suzi ?? Auto clamp mounted sideways??

Simple question, but dumb if not asked...not interested in reinventing the wheel.

Posts: 74	Re: Clamp for Harley muffler Reply #7 - 07/07/14 at 10:41:57 Autozone exhaust pipe clamp $3.00 I don't remember the exact size but it was smaller than 2" and larger than 1 1/2". Buy a couple of sizes and return the one that doesnt fit. Not the best looking clamp but funtional.

The inside diameter of the Harley Dyna muffler is 1-3/4" (1.75"). So the clamp that fits over the muffler needs to be big enough to account for the 1.75" plus the thickness of the metal on the Dyna muffler.
