2003 LS650 savage mods

what are some good mods to do to the savage? I am going to do the raptor 660 petcock switch and inline fuel filter soon and raising the seat. I kinda want to take the rear fender off but the bikes my daily  driver I normally drive about 150miles a day and I want to keep it practical and on the cheaper side

Versy modded cam adjuster if you are past 10k miles...

Keep the rear fender if it's a driver...
Might consider Intruder rear shocks if you like comfort..
Use a combination luggage lock to keep track of fuel/miles... refill every 100miles...
Fuzzy dice on your mirrors... Huh...

2003? What is your mileage? The cam chain tensioner mod if you are anywhere near 10K.

Be wary of the inline filter with the Raptor. Some of us have had problems  and had to ditch the inline filter.

I'd say the BASIC mods would be a Dyna muffler and re-jetting the carb. Just those two things will get you a lot better performance. Of course, the bike will run fine with the stock stuff if you're not into a little more horsepower. Other than that everything else is just hot-rodding and cosmetics.

Definitely need to check the tensioner unless you have a service record of the cam chain being replaced within the last 4-5K miles.
