new savage owner

Just picked up a 2004 savage 650 last week. It's a great little bike for running around the neighborhood and taking it to and from work. Anyway I think I got a really good deal. The bike is a one owner 2004 with only 550 miles on it (not a typo) and in perfect condition minus a few pits in the chrome. I paid only 1700 bucks for it. So how did I do ?

A deal like that is truly a superior method to escape the throes of
buyer's regret
.
I like the matching helmet too.

Thanks the previous owner threw it in for free which was nice of him. I ended up buying a full face helmet though. The bike is really quiet so I pulled the muffler to see what it would sound like and wow that thing sounds like a Harley with screaming eagle pipes way to loud!!! I had no idea such a small motor could make such big noise! Can I drill into the muffler to get somewhere in between the two? If so where do I make the holes?
