Top triple clamp
06/11/14 at 07:33:17
Anyone got a source for top triple clamps?
Im doing a refresh on the bike and want to clean up the top triple. Tired of the old holes being there for the clamps.
I remember someone had been plugging the holes, and that might be a viable solution. I just want it cleaned up.
Will probably paint or powdercoat it black also.
I have a chrome and a billet stock ones currently to mod if needed.

There is this build...

He did a pretty good job of filling in the handle bar stem mount holes.
And then there is the Dave Seidmen build that is covered in the Ryca builders gallery...
http://rycamotors.com/customer_builds/ryca_customer_dseidman.html
He machined out his top clamp between the webbing.
I kind of stole his idea and made my own top clamp...
I could make another one, don't know what I would charge though.

The plugged and machined top triple can be found in Aaron's thread below. He used to offer I as a service at 125.00 I think.

I smoothed mine using more budget minded means since I don't have a mill. You can see it on page 3 of my thread below. Not too difficult and didn't really take long.
