Anyone know where I can get one of these? I tried e-mailing Tkat from their web site but haven't gotten a response. Someone said they were around $100.00 but all the ones I'm finding are A LOT more expensive.
Any place you know of to get one?

TKAT is an individual.....not so much a business. I think he builds these in his spare time as a hobby. It might take a few days to get a response from him if he is out of town or busy.....he is a one man operation.

& he holds orders till he has enough to justify the set-up time. IDK how many he needs to be able to sell to justify the time of making one,,but Id guess a minimum of 3.

Well, that makes sense then. I'll give him a few more days to respond but I'll still look around to see if I can find one that would work with my motorcycle.
Thanks for the info guys!

I called up the number on the website and fortunately he answered the phone the first go. Fits perfectly, works great, I recommend it!

I stand corrected, he replied to the e-mail I sent to him extremely quickly. It is the e-mail address on the website.

Yep, Far as I know there are 2 places on planet Earth with the measurements & "stuff" to build a fork brace for the Savage.
T-Kat & Superbrace. I had the S/brace, but IF I had been forced to pay for one, I woulda gone w/ T-Kat

I'm gonna' get in trouble for saying this,.. because I know there are a lot of brace fans out there...
I'm not a fan of fork braces that grip the sliders...
The U-type is safer... (our stock fender has one of these built in)...
Do be careful when tightening fork braces that grip the sliders... too tight can distort them and cause the tubes to stick...
It may not even be apparent until they flex at speed, in a turn...
Then, the lateral pressure distorts the slider and clamps the tube in place...
This can be dangerous...
Forks that are designed to have these type braces are made with thicker aluminum at the mount point... usually they even have molded in mount holes...
Not ours...

Below is a picture the U type of fork brace....really common accessory for dirt bikes back in the 60's and 70's.
My TKAT fits really well, and it does attach to the thick portion of the fork tubes up where the seal is retained. The distance between the forks is also spot on. I was concerned that they might put the forks in a bind - but I tested them with the springs removed and the forks still slide up and down very easily.
I can't say for sure the brace improves the handling - but I needed a place to mount a different fender for my Cafe conversion and a fork brace was the perfect solution to my project.
