Beagle Full Member Offline 1998 Suzuki Savage Posts: 217 Ohio Gender:	Front Foot Pegs Size 05/21/14 at 07:35:21 Does anyone know the size of the mounting hole on the front foot pegs? I'm trying to locate some new pegs and I want to make sure they fit. A friend of mine gave me some of his old Harley chrome pegs but they are a little too small for the bolt to go through it and I can't make the hole larger (I tried using a dremel and it didn't make a dent!)

But the threads are smaller.

They also don't have that "hook" on the end of peg. Is that hook really needed?

Yep, that "hook" is the downward travel limiter. If you shim the sides of the pegs with wave washers (or even plain washers) you can eliminate most if not all of the play. AND keep the pegs almost where they belong. Take the pegs (new and old) to any welding shop. Show them the difference and get a quote to have a tab added to the bottom of your new pegs. Not going to cost very much, I'd do it for a 6 pack...
