The other woman

I 'm pretty much finished with my wife's bobber project so I thought I'd share a picture . It is a V-star 650 custom or was anyway. I did both the savage and the v star over the winter.  It was quite a feat in an oversized one car garage with my mustang in it and 2 bikes apart . I very happy with the results though !

She really likes the way it looks and sounds with the vance and hines short shots . It also rides a lot better now due to new progressive fork springs and a little lower seat height . I guess I'm out of the doghouse for a while .

Both those bikes look good. I have to admit there are a few things about the V-Star that I like even better than the Savage & if they were more readily available for the Savage I would've done them to my own too.

Things I really like about the V-Star:
Wide White Wall Tires
Hypercharger (always thought these look cool-even if they don't do much)
Chrome Pipes
Chrome Bars
Hard-tail appearance

I don't remember if you already said, but did you do both these from kits or just piece together items you made work with them?

Great job  Cool

I built them both out of ideas in my head and mostly parts I had or were donated to me , some were already on the v star like the hyper charger. I also like a lot about the v star. It's a really nice bike but it weighs a ton . The v star has to be 550 lbs and I'd be surprised if the savage is 330 lbs . The savage simply walks away from the v star in a hurry.

The seats are from blue collar bobber . I bought just their seat because I like the style and they are pretty comfortable . They sent the seat and springs.  The brackets I made . Buying just their seat the price wasn't to bad either .
