I just purchased one. They may not be going quick...but they're going.

Within the next month or so 4 riders should be grinning from cheek to cheek just to ride their bike and pull the brake. Pictures coming soon.

The funny thing is that this is a bolt on kit and could be on the bike in an hour.....but we all have our bikes involved in other issues that is slowing us down. I have to lace up a wheel, then change my fork triple trees, get a new part for my fork brace from TKAT, and make a new fender mount. Otherwise....it would be easy!

Well I can't tell you how well it works yet...but I can tell you the machining on the aluminum bracket is excellent, and it polishes up really easy. I did not have anything that can polish down in the routed cavity...so that got painted satin black.

A question for Shawn:
Is the caliper rebuilt?
Rotor stainless? coating on hub portion to prevent rust? or is it alloy?
thanks

Caliper is cleaned, not rebuilt with new seals. The calipers I acquire have been in very good condition. The pistons typically need to be removed and cleaned before being pushed back into the caliper. This should always be done when installing new pads because brake dust sticks to the pistons.
I am not adding surface treatment to any parts. I leave it to you. The rotor buttons are anodized however. The rotor adapter and rotor are both stainless steel but they do rust if left in the weather. I recommend painting the rotor adapter.

For those interested I can vouch for this kit. I have one on SavageBob and it's fantastic. It's so good that, despite my bike being supercharged, quite often when I let people ride it they comment on the brakes saying; 'The boost is cool but man that front brake pulls up good!'
Couldn't have asked for a more straight forward upgrade for the remarkable poor factory brakes on a Savage.

I got my brake kit mounted. It went on very easy - just bolted right up!
I can't wait to try it out....I have a few weeks worth of work to do before the bike will be running again so it will be a bit before I can report on how well it works.
