Voodoo Vintage Hardtail

I've finally got my frame welded and put the motor and wheels back on to see how it all lines up.I machined the sprocket side wheel spacer to .650 and all lines up well.I when I first had it tacked up and looked at alignment it didn't look so good, now everythings tightened up and it works. That probably common sense to alot of you guys but I've never done any serious changes to any of my bikes. It was scary as hell to cut that frame with the thought of not having a ride this year if I screw up.I've never used a forum before so if my posts were in the wrong places I apologize.Great site, good info.Question, now I want to go with a 18" r wheel on my savage.Does anyone know a wheel that migh be a good/possible fit?

GS and KZ, any stock chain/belt driven version with drum brake rear can be adapted pretty easily.

Hi Chris,
The axle plates on most all Voodoo Vintage hard tails are machined to 20mm, which will accommodate a large variety of Japanese and also 3/4" Harley style axles. If you are using the stock 17mm axle, we do offer adapter bushings that can be placed in the axle slot allowing the use of your 17mm axle. They sell for $15/pair and are machined in-house. You can email me directly (david@voodoovintage.com) if you would like more information?? Hope this helps...

Kit needs a round frame back tube 6 or so inches longer than stock, in addition to the built in rear stretch. Then we could easily adapt a real gas tank instead of some puny little toy Sportster tank that doesn't sit properly.

Hey ChrisTech your work bench looks almost as messy as mine!
Looking forward to seeing it all done.

You can run a bigger size if you want. I'm going with a 18 in the rear. Using a gs550 rear spoke wheel. Just make sure you get it with the drum brake because it's larger than the stock savage one. And of course you're going to have to make your own bracket to work with the brake

I'm still using the 15", I noticed I'm sitting pretty close to the ground. I'd recommend the 18" wheel, that's what I'm going for eventually.
Haha every time I go to clean the garage I end up working on the bike all day. Im squeezed between that work bench and a 1917 model t so I have about 3 feet of space. But as long as I'm working on my stuff I don't really care. I know someone els has run into the bottom cross bar being right in the path of the chain, I added a tensioner but would rather have something more durable.
