Goodnews everyone I feel kind of dumb but learn from my mistakes  went to order new shift lever and they told me to clean first all of this caused by lack of lube

the lever itself at pivot point have to take apart and properly clean and lube but its working perfect now after wd40 and working it back and fourth with lever disconnected from spline

WD 40 isnt a lube for long. It evaporates. The WD stands for Water Displacement,, YOu can spray that stuff into a distributor cap if its wet inside & the car will start again,,Use some real oil. Just gat some 3 in 1 & drizzle a few drops in,, or get a can of white lithium & squirt it in there.
Those Zoom spout oilers are handy to have around, too,.
