THROTTLE CABLE REPLACEMENT
09/16/13 at 10:34:14

Greetings gents!

My Wife took a little dive on her bike thanks to a gravelly road under construction, and swerving to miss a giant pot-hole. (She's fine. Luckily was only doing less than 20MPH at the time.) So far I have replaced the footpegs, the mirrors and master cylinder mirror mount, the turn signals, and I thought I was done.

I just noticed that the accelerator cable is a little shreaded near the handle, so I went ahead and ordered a new one from Bike Bandit. (OEM part)

I just wanted to check in to ask if this is a pretty straight forward swap, or if there are any pitfalls or gotchas I should be aware of.

Thanks so much!

Open the right switch box, remove the base screw, self explanatory from there once you see the pieces in place. 10 minutes, if you stop for a smoke mid swap.
