Some questions from a Savage-newbie.
08/14/13 at 20:37:22

Hello! I just bought my first Suzuki Savage (1987 model). I have some newbie questions, and I hope this forum can help me. I am from Norway, so forgive me if my english isn't perfect.

1. I want to turn my Savage into a Bobber. Where can I get the rear bobber fender? Is this something I have to build myself? Is there maybe any rear fender from a different bike that fits the Savage perfectly?

2. The first Savage is from 1986, and the last one is from 2004. Does most parts from a, lets say, 1995 model fit a Savage from 1986, 87, 00 or 04? What are the biggest difference on a Savage 1986 model, and a Savage 2004 model?

3. Where do I buy parts for my Savage? What site do you recommend?

4. I found this site (cmsnl.com). It seems they have everything for the Savage, but when I search "Suzuki Savage", the shop gives me multiple "Savage" options. Can somebody explain me the "codes"?

2. Most savage/boulevard parts are interchangeable whether they were made for that year or not.

3. all the sites I use are US bound, so not much use to you.
but all these are good...

4. The last letter in the model is a year code and the savage is still being built, so they are available right up to 2013.

3. Look to Germany, Lithuania and the Czech Republic. Best European Savages/S40s are coming from those 3 countries. The USA market sees the bike as a toy, not a motorcycle.

Welcome to the site, and your English is fine.

Ryca seems to have the rear fender you need. It looks the same as one I found locally. It's a full length one that you trim to the length you need. Simple. And a good price, too. http://shop.rycamotors.com/6inch_fender.html
Ya just need to make some fender stays.
