But yeah, I'd say most of the Japanese manufacturers emulate the Harley designs.

Reply #5 - 08/09/13 at 09:35:54 Swing arm is standard length, mounts in the back of the transmission. Shocks behind axle give a better visual AND a smoother ride. FX chassis has been around since the early nose cone Shovelhead days. It works, now called the Dyna. Some minor updates over the 70-72 originals, but the same basic layout.
