The reserve is just the bottom of the tank. In the on position the inlet tube sticks up into the tank a little bit....and doesn't let you use up the fuel all the way to the bottom of the tank. When you turn the petcock to RESERVE it opens up the inlet that is located all the way at the bottom of the tank. (It is like holding your straw up an inch in your glass of lemonade for ON......then when you run out and want to switch to your RESERVE of lemonade.....you lower the straw an inch to the bottom of your glass).

You should have at least twenty miles on reserve and no need to fill. When you put the Raptor on the fuel will flow from either position.

Get on the bike, ride to a parts house, turn petcock off, pull fuel line off, carry it in,,
If ya dont like the filters at the car parts house, take the OLD piece of hose ( providing the new one is the same size) to a bike shop. The Yamaha shop has some way cool filters hanging behind the counter, straight thru, 90* stuff, not too pendy,

Id go to a bike shop for a filter. They have some ( At least the yamaha shop where I got parts to rebuild a Raptor motor & my petcock did) cards with different sizes & shapes. Some have inlet straight in & outloet at a 90,, If you have the fuel line in your hand, you really cant go wrong,, turn the petcock off, & its a whoppin 2 minute job,,

There is a clear cap on the side and long clear tube protecting the longer tube. I'm guessing you remove both of them? And leave the white 2 tubes?

Remove the clear "protective" tube.....leave the white filters alone.
