Foot peg (front) replacement
08/04/13 at 16:22:43

So I removed the front left foot peg. I noticed that it has a "hook" at the end.  I found where many are using "ISO" HD pegs and adapting them either by drilling out the hole to use our stock  bolt or the more common, replace the bolt with a smaller one and use collars and washers to make up the difference.

However neither of these address the lack of the "hook" on the end of the peg.  I just want confirmation that this is not an issue.

Also are all HD pegs "ISO"
Does any HD peg "work" ( as much as any does)
In looking at aftermarket pegs.. is there something to look for that would make the peg "more" adaptable than not?

What, you don't like the peg covers in the other thread?

Any male HD peg end is made the same way as any other male HD peg end. You can use any of them, just shim them so they aren't floppy. Man that sounds bad...  Roll Eyes

Iso pegs aren't worth the money, at the end of the day, it's still just a foot peg. Bring her back up, let's put some floorboards on it like mine...

Mine's bent so a rubber cover would still be over a bent peg.  BSA is pretty cool, you know I got that soft spot.. but the others got bling!

Though .. not sure i want to go THAT high on bling...

I was able to straighten mine pretty well in a vise. I did replace them with some aftermarket HD pegs. I drilled the holes to fit and added a washer. The lack of 'hooks' allows the peg to droop just a little further than the factory one. For me, this is preferable as it fits my bow legs better. Smiley
