A really dumb question about fuses
07/31/13 at 11:03:04
Almost hate to bring this up, but I don't want to screw up the bike (87 Ls650). I have had the bike about two weeks and when I pulled the seat off the first time I checked the fuses. One was 15A and the other was 25A. The bike was in the shop last August and the PO was charged for the 15A and I am thinking that it was put in at that time. The problem I face is the wiring diagrams show that both fuses should be 20A. I am less concerned about the 15A, but really uneasy about the 25A fuse. Shouldn't both be 20A or have I missed something?

Yellow is supposed to be 20A. Can't remember the color codes off hand beyond that.

Fuse (automotive)
2
Color coding
Blade fuses use a common coloring scheme for the low-profile mini / mini / regular size fuses, and a partial color
similarity with the maxi size fuses. The following table shows the commonly available fuses for each size group.
