There are chemicals in food & products that just cant be explained ( IN that they add nothing to the life of the product or increase the value in any way, like BPA in plastic bottles. Educated consumers demanded that be stopped in the baby bottles. They work as well, least as long, The BPA was only there to cause problems) but CAN be linked to health problems,.
