has anyone ever cut down the stock seat to fit the profile of the frame better....so that you sit down into the bike a little better...i've search for a post on it but can't seem to find anything...any info will help and pic's would be great...thanks for reading

IMO, goin hackin on the stock seat in hopes of making it "better" could be a bad idea. I think youd be ahead to just buy a solo seat from an older model & play with that. If it sux, you still have a seat.

You may want to ask yourself whether you are going for looks or comfort. Plenty of folks complain about the comfort (or lack thereof) with the stock seat already.

yah you can shave it down. mine fits the frame better now and I have no comfort issues... still won be the bobber look though if that's what your heading for. And you and only go so low with the foam because the mold is raised in some places I believe.

I removed the original foam, had it replaced with a thinner layer and raised the front seat mount with 2 rubber door stops. Then in a short space of time my body weight moulded my seat to sit low on the frame.

thanks for the replies .... not really going for a "look" just wanting to do a few mods...and the seat setting closer to the frame is one of them...
