My favorite gun is a museum piece- in a museum. Wink

Some of WD's guns belong in a museum. I'm not being a smartass, I'm saying it with envy. Nice pieces.

I kind of live at a museum already... the manor house is over 170 years old. The caplock 12g belonged to a Civil War veteran (who's hand written account of the Battle of Shiloh are also in the house) who was in the 4th TN and later a personal courier for President Davis.

I know there is some junk from the 1700s in the attic... and junk is the correct term, courtesy of the humidity.

Just a couple of the "toys", the English caplock 12g and the Ruger first year Old Army... yeah, it's a retired competition piece...
... the Ruger had been in the field deer hunting for a month, the shotgun hadn't been intentionally fired since about 1905, was left to molder away in a closet for over a century.  Both look a whole lot better now, and I'm making a new stock for the 12g, the original one is split under the breech.

Wished you lived in NC. I have never been fired Savage HMR, BSA Sweet 17 Scope I'm selling tomorrow.

I'm an FFL if the price is right.

Paraquat, are you a dealer? It was a never been fired Savage 93R, BSA Sweet 17 Scope, Soft case and 100rds of ammo. It was probably 5 years old, I bought it right before I got sick. It was made the last year before they started making acutriggers. I had a hard time selling it for that reason. $300. I cant hunt anymore but I love to take my 22 rifles and pistols out and punch holes in paper. My wife stole my Bond I bought the other day. I'm looking for another one. Have you ever seen a Bond? They are built like a tank and a beautiful piece of workmanship. Load it up with 410 Defenders and its one hell of a killing machine.

For the most part, yes.
My father is the actual FFL but I'm an "employee" of his "business". We also share the same name and he is "getting too old" for it so he wants to try to transfer it to me rather than me having to jump through all the hoops. I can still buy and receive, however.

Never seen a Bond.

I have 2 AR's I've never shot. When the govement told me I didnt need one or couldn't have one I bought two. With this Dept of Homeland Security sh!t, 1.6 Billion hollow points something is gonna hit the fan. I'd be the first one gunned down but I feel a lot better knowing I have my guns. Our government is becoming or already is tyrannical. There should be no opposition to the 2nd amendment. Stronger background checks were OK with most people but it was the bills tacked on it the NRA fought and the gun citizens didn't like.

If you can get a Bond Snakeslayer with a 4 and 1/4" barrel if you don't like it I'll buy it off of you. If you ever get your hands on one you'll never let it go. It makes the Cobra Derriger the Harley Crowd carry look like a cheap toy.

Not my cup of tea. I love my Glock 19 but with all this "high capacity debate" and "magazines must be registered by Jan 1st 2014" I don't want to risk carrying it. I've been carrying an AMT backup .45.

I like pocket guns. Load that Bond up with a 3" 410 defender rounds and you don't need but 2 sots. I sent my wife to pick up mine and she told me when I got home that gun was hers, I'll have to buy another one. She has a 9mm Glock, a 45 Glock, A ruger LCP. And just think she's in love with the lowly little Bond. Everything on the gun is machined out of stainless, no plastic parts, exotic wood grips. I gotta start shopping around and find another one. There's plenty of videos of people shooting them on you tube.

Just did some horse trading got I got a Winchester 1894 in 30-30. The gun was made in 1984, not a scratch on it. The owner kept it in chaps. Was made in New Haven Conn. I think I'm right on this, Winchester moved out of Conn. in the mid or late 80's. The Japaneese started making a lot of guns for them when they moved. I don't have any idea where they are made now, they'e $1100 now. Lever actions are my favorites, its always nice to add one the rack.
