Basically yes,... but many people have missed the signs, and ended up with catastrophe...
Depending on how you ride,... somewhere between 7 and 25k, the adjuster will be reaching it's limit... and from there, it's crap shoot...
Seems to be shorter errand running/bar hopping bikes will stretch fastest...
Lazy, distance cruisers will last longer...
... but once you have a pinned adjuster in there,... it will warn you forever without falling out...
I'd check between 10 and 14k,... unless you have reason to suspect earlier...
...(jackrabbit riders, that go less than 20 miles from home most rides, should check at 7k)...

Reply #8 - 05/31/13 at 22:23:49 Most will feel it knocking on the clutch cover by the oil filter cover. couple had gone so far as wedge themselves between the top and the 2 mounting points. most aren't that lucky and it falls into the primary gear.

Everything is going fine, he had a triple bypass.
After a week in rehab... he told them he was going home... before he takes care of the cook. Grin

To make mom happy, we had to order an lazy boy ejection chair and put in hand rails in the shower. and a major clean up in the garage... hope they take him in the front door. Shocked
