Sea Foam is a solvent. It works well for what it was intended to do. Its just not a miracle cure.

She got dropped off today. A little rough but should clean up. Already took some 0000 steel wool to the chrome. only problem is it sounds like it has a miss and flutters a bit while riding.

Well,, not to worry. Ive seen people come here who had never turned a wrench & been transformed into their own bike mechanic in 6 months,

If the carb is stock.....I suspect a good cleaning, re-jetting and the spacer mod will make the flutter and miss go away. Does this slight flutter and miss happen at slower speeds when you are just barely opening the throttle?

Yes it does. Where would I get the spacers?

Here is a thread on the issue.
http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?board=tech;action=display;num=1104205157
You can get washersr and use them to replace the spacer. Some people use 3 on top of the needle - my bike liked 2 with a 50 pilor jet and 150 main jet.
You can get the jetset form Lancer:

Or if you know what you need JetsRus can sell them to you.
Here is a thread on how to take the carb apart. For jet changes you don't need to remove the jets at the top of the carb body, or the needle and seat parts.

You are an hour and a half away from me. If you want to bring your bike or carb up someday......We can fix it!

Welcome, and be forewarned, it's a tough group. As a suggestion, get the in and out (air filters, muffler etc) on the bike before you mess with the carb settings. Congrats, looks like you got one of the faster black ones.
ps. olde bikes need dino oil.

Yeah the guy before me tried to mess with the pilot screw and it is stripped out. I may have to bring it up to you. :'(

Its actually a fuel mixture screw. If the screw is on the engine side it adjust the fuel. If it is on the air filter side it adjust air.
