Yup,... and if you search around my bike, very closely,. you'll also find a re-purposed VCR lid... a sink stopper plunger, a hockey puck, part of a sliding window lock, a pair of BMX stunt pegs, part of a street sign,... and bicycle pedals...

Problem is that you chose a very thin material for your pads. Everybody knows that the purpose of knee pads is to protect the tank in case the rider's knee is crushed between the bike and the road. They must be fat, like Matchless or AJS pads are. BTW, how about those emblems on your bike's tank? They look like heraldic lions... Re-purposed Peugeot's?

Yup,.. Peugeot wheel emblems... I've changed them... I have a Suzuki "S" symbol now...

Knee pads are just to stop you from scuffing the tank with your knees...
For crash protection,.. I'd want the pad on the road side of my knees...
Knee sliders...
