We did @ first ... then we got unscrewed a little ... while US and mexico get screwed by china. However we have been screwing mexico progressively worse.

You check the math - in 96 manufacturing from US went to mexico.
We also started letting their trucks in without adhering to US standards.
We sold our surplus subsidized farm products there.
2000 manufacturing shifted to china from mexico.
The mexican trucks still come in.
We still dump farm produce there.
How does the math add up ? I dunno maybe we're ahead ... maybe not. I think clinton saw this coming, or not ...

I was going to say the cheap labor.

It was Mexico. Mexico stepped up it's game and the cheap labor went to China.
I predict, and mark my words so you remember this in the next 5-10 years, that China will step it's game up. Soon China will be where Mexico is now and then all the cheap labor will go to Africa.

Yes, but in Japan the government couldn't kill 100,000 people and have a billion left over. China isn't all warm and fuzzy over human rights like you seem to think it is. The economic boom there is only because the communist party allows it and no other reason. They run over people with tanks, they execute you and send the bill for the preocedure to your next of kin. Anyone who thinks the people will rise up and demand this and that from the government is fooling themselves and should probably look to the soviet republics as an example.

Bingo ... and what you are all missing about africa ... china owns 1/2 of that. There will be dictators fed by the chinese who are robbing the laborers ... except again as happens everywhere there will be revolt.

I think the days of 1 country or 1 "dynasty" sitting on the top and ruling the rest of the population is so 19th century. Essentially every country has a Gandhi.
