Can these be dremeled off without hurting the fork ?  Looks like an attempt at fork protection, earlier bikes don't even have them. I am eventually going to add boots anyways. Thanks for any answers in advance.

did you set it to all posts?

I meant to be instructional, the search tool is not too friendly, but if you use it enough, it grows on you.
