I am replacing my handlebars and I have removed my handlebar caps, but then the Manual just says to remove the grips, well that's nice, but they seem pretty secure. I don't want to break anything, but do I just need to muscle them off or is there something I am missing ? Thanks for any help.   Smiley

Compressed air will pop them off in two seconds.  Get into youtube and search for "remove grips" and there will be several videos demonstrating the technique.  You'll have to wade through a lot of golf grip videos to get to a motorcycle grip video.  Here is one:

rubbing alcohol helped get mine off and then hairspray to put them back on of course.
