88 mph (calibrated digital bicycle computer running on front wheel). It had a little more to go, maybe 5 mph?, but that would have taken a while. My bicycle computer is dead on. Verified against GPS and police radar roadside set-ups (Your speed is ...).

Yep, my S40 with Apollo Cone muffler and rejetted carb will hit the mid 90's any day, and peg the needle on a good one.

I'm sure it will do 100...but not with me on it...56 MPH was way to fast...wind was blowing in Florida yesterday...so maybe I will try to peg her out on a non windy day...LOL

Lancer and Verslagen, I've got to ask -- How are you measuring your speeds? Not with that optimistic stock speedo, are you?

Skelly15, you got your 90 mph reading on the Ryca kit speedo?

I would be very interested to hear of someone who's done the ton (100 mph) on one of these bikes, stock or Ryca or otherwise, on the flat, no big tail wind, measured with a GPS or some other reliable means.

Okay...I feel like an idiot...before my ride today...I decided to check the air in the tires...and no wonder the bike seemed like it was all over the road...lesson learned...check your tire pressure...it was very low...bike rode lots better but the battery in the GPS went out...so tomorrow I will give her another test ride.

77 mph with me sitting up in the semi-leaning forward position required by holding on to the RYCA clip ons.  I have the sitting height of a 6'5" fellow.  Engine completely stock, emgo muffler, RYCA carb mod, standard RYCA K&N.

Brave teacher, are you running the Ryca 130/70-18 rear tire and the stock front tire? What pressures are you running front/rear? I keep experimenting (presently 30f/32r).
