I saved the magazine because I bought a Honda 200 Reflex, the cover.

Paladin, good to hear from you. I printed the color "Street" picture and the article, too. I have another nice color photo from an ad someone posted. I enjoy Rider and Cycle World as well as Motorcycle Consumer News each month. Reading replaces riding in the winter, so Thanks.

As for the Reflex, it is similar in looks to the Yamaha TS200 that I saw last summer in a dealer and love its looks. Thanks again.

A new savage in '86 cost the same as my three year old savage did 10 years ago!

Was there more to that article?

Seemed to end a little abruptly.....

Thanks for posting, though!  Smiley

Ooops!   Missed a page.  Will have it up after others get up -- complain about noise of scanner at 4 in the morning....

I used to have a TLR200 Reflex. Put 10,000+ miles on it before someone offered to trade me a Colt pistol and some cash for it. You only THINK the seat on a Savage is uncomfortable after a few miles. While in each case I trailered it to the general area, I rode it along the Jeep Eater trail in the Great Sand Dunes, up Pikes Peak, across Trail Ridge Road and up the Old Fall River Road, and up to Rollins Pass from Winter Park. Fun bike.

Thanks Paladin! Have had a copy of that Suzuki Savage ad from '86 framed and hung in my Rec Room for a decade now ... love it!

Thanks Paladin! While not a glowing endorsement, the article does highlight what many of us like about the scooter. To me this is the 55/57 Chevy or 78/86 Mustang of the motorcycle world. So many ways to make it your own...and do it with a lot less $$$$$ than so many others!

On the final page (thanks for posting, btw), I just noticed an interesting factoid....the mighty Savage has a load capacity of only 10 lbs less than what my GL1800 has!
