I would have been happier if he had a rf-id tagged gun, so when he leaves it unattended after shooting the 3 guys, one of the kids doesn't get someone else shot.

And yet you never responded back to my posts about the known issues with rf-id and fingerprint based guns...

I dont care about those issues. The fact you show a gun to a criminal is what it takes ... you rarely ever fire it.

And it will never fire if its taken away form the assigned owner.

Cool.

How about this guy with a gun?  Would you have been happier if he was unarmed?

Did he need a 100rd AR15 for that?... Huh...

Do you "need" a motorcycle?

Do you need a car that goes faster than 55 MPH?
Do you need 500 horsepower?
We should just lay down and become communists and all ride the bus. The government will provide transportation for us. All hail the government.

Your car that goes over 55mph, and makes over 500 hp, still has a lock, and doors and seat belt and alarm and insurance etc dont it ... as soon as you remove all those and want the car left open uninsured, yea we'll talk.
Cool.

My guns have cable locks and are in a safe inside my house.
I have a Remington with a lock built into the trigger. You need a special key to unlock it.

My car sits, not in my garage, but in my driveway. Unlocked.

It doesn't have an alarm system and I have the option of using or not using my seatbelt even though I'm prohibited from driving without it and there are consequences to face if I'm caught.

Although the state requires I register and insure my vehicles this is not always the case. There have been a few times when I've driven it without either. Slap a plate on it and go. These were times in my early 20s when it was my only for of transportation though.

Edit: I got derailed and forgot what I was going to say. I remember now...
Ultimately it's my decision to get tanked up and got for a high speed drive into a shopping mall or to drive sober, follow all the laws, and arrive safely.
THE DECISION LIES WITH THE INDIVIDUAL.
Same with my firearms.

And If your kid was adam lanza he'd kill you with that car, then jump into it and go for a high speed drive through a school ... Would be really stupid, wont it, a simple set of keys will have stopped that from happening.

Yea no, you cant leave the keys lying on the hood ... keys are keys, need to be kept secure. Just thought I'd close off that stupid comeback.

Cool.

No door locks, no car alarm, no seat belts, is parked outside, key left in the ignition. Unless you know 1940s vehicles you can't start it... Hasn't been licensed since 1974, and yes, it has been driven since then on the public roads with 1974 tabs. Cops never messed with me about it.

Towed my last licensed in 1991, in Alaska (by someone else), non-titled horse trailer across the country in 2011. Without brake lights or turn signals. Or issues. Behind a same era (antique) 1/2 ton truck. That has no seat belts. Or brake lights.

Oh, come on now dude.  You are mixing apples and oranges.  The discussion had to do with violent crimes committed by individuals, and now you switch to lifestyle choices ?  There is no connection in this context.
You can do better than that.

Also, your apples and oranges answer doesn't fly, it's not apples and oranges or lifestyle choices. It's about rights. Please answer Srinath's question.

I'm not shouting.  The slightly larger print is easier for me to read.
I like blue.

I can relate.  Last year a few folks here gave me the same she-ite about putting all my posts in 14 rather than using 11.  Like you, I simply wanted to read it easier.  So now, to keep them from getting their panties in a wad, I use Arial and 14 on every post.  A little larger and clearer, but doesn't seem to generate the same amount of rage.  At least no one has bugged me about it lately.
