after my wreck, my ankle still hurts, not expecting it to heal fully for about a month or so, I can walk on it okay, just not very fast yet, hurts a little too, only been a week though.

started thinking about boots, then I started thinking, well, I really really like my hands, so while I'm still going to get boots, I'm now thinking about getting some serious gloves too.

These are top of the list right now. wish they came in yellow though. . .

My Icon's are all black so they don't look tacky when riding something that's not a sport bike. My armored mesh jacket is all black as well. I've never looked into armored riding boots but I'm sure there are all-black ones also.

Lost, I feel for ya',.. but, let me remind you again...
If you overly restrict the movement of your ankle,.. impact forces will be transferred to your knee, and on to your hip... (which is worse)...
In the 80's, I think,... they were overbuilding MX boots and there was a rash of knee injuries...
I'd recommend, wearing protection, but not so much that it restricts flexibility...
If your finger can't bend,.. your wrist will,.. if your wrist can't, your elbow will...
The point is,.. if the force is applied,.. the body will have to absorb it somewhere...
Removing flexibility from one area will put extra force elsewhere...

Protect your core the most... the really important stuff is in there... Huh

Sorry, I just watched "Dark Knight Rises" last night... But,.. yea... protect your head, neck, organs, and spine... ... and I don't mean don't protect hands and feet,... but allow flexibility... PS... JMHO... I'm sure glove and boot makers would disagree with me... ...
