Is this is an epidemic? Are we all SCREWED?

I think I have seen more than the fair share of messed up Air/Fuel Mix screws lately. I am wondering if it is some new strain of bug infecting all these bikes. It is possible my bike was patient Zero. She was in storage for 10 years before I bought her used. Is it possible that she had some mutant strain that was lying dormant for all this time?
PLEASE vaccinate your bike against this threat. We can’t afford to lose any more bikes. The cost of the medical care and rehabilitation it outrageous.
Just look at all the recent posts.

I don't think I would make a judgement based on a few instances where folks are having issues with the adjustment screw. Keep in mind that,
1)Suzuki designed it to keep us out of there, and
2)The majority of folks have not had an issue and saw no reason to start a thread saying everything is fine, and
3)Some folks just have a feel for the mechanical, some do not and can cross thread a light bulb.
There can be common problems due to design flaws, but I don't think this falls into that category.

GDR you are now quarantined.
you are not allowed to look at or touche another savage.
nor park in the same parking lot
nor travel in visual range of another savage.
do not post pictures
You must mark your presence with a black flag with a yellow spot or screw.

Touche is the most virulent! Especially when combined with Epee.

I fixed mine. Posted a thread with pics about how I got it out. Thankfully I have the experience of having jacked things up before.....
