The sidecovers on my running 1986 bike are heavily corroded. I have a good set of case covers on my 2002 parts engine.

Right side: is it a direct swap?

Left side: can I leave the 02 stator and sensor on the 02 cover and install it on the 86? Or do I have to move the 86 stator and sensor to the 02 cover before install.

One other question: the idler gear and a thin washer fell off during removal. does the washer go under the gear against the cover????

California Gender:	Re: sidecover swap 02 - 86 help Reply #1 - 09/29/12 at 15:11:17 Yes they'll swap, use the torque limiter from the 'o2 on the '86. http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1288911670 the washers go on either side of the torque limiter gear.
