Hi All, I'm new to Savages, just got an old 86, sitting for a year or two, pretty rusty, but complete.

I'm a shop teacher and will let my kids have at it as a project.  We'll see how it goes.  

First step,  get that cam chain tensioner mod!!!!  I'm sure it needs it.

I have NO idea what to do yet.  Yes, these are reg. HS age kids. They are reg. kids, not vocational, so skills are limited for sure.

I put my auto 1 kids on minibikes to learn tools and simple 5 wire harnesses.  by the time my kids get a few years in, they are on cars harnesses.

I picked up this bike for $350 with title, it should run, but is cometically very challenged from sitting outdoors.  Lots of rust and flaky alum.

What do build.  No idea.  cafe?  all black rattlebomb stocker?  I'm looking for input and suggestions.  I have an 02?? lower end, that I may consider moving the top end of the 86 to, just to get a lower mile bottom end.
