Anyone have a stock Black 2007 S40?

I was just wondering if anyone with a stock black paint 2007 S40 can verify if there is metalic flake in the paint or not   Tongue

My bike was laid down at low speeds supposedly by the original owner so the story goes from the second owner whom I purchased it from recently, he didn't mention anything about it being repainted just that some of the chrome was scuffed and that the rear fender got scratched (which is still scratched and not repainted).  But now that I've started to take some of the bike apart to install the new speedo, tach, raptor and such I've run across a small bit of Suzuki blue in one of the tank bolt holes and even though I can't really see it in direct sunlight when I shine a high power Mag light on the paint I can see blue metalic flakes!   Huh

toes,
My black 2007 has metal flake factory paint. It looks jet black in low light conditions and almost dark metallic blue in direct sunlight.

regards

I bobbed a 2002 Intruder with Suzuki black(and they do not use or change colors much between years or bikes) and a friend who is a Sherwin-Williams rep painted it for me and mixed the paint to match.  He remarked to me that he was surprised with how much BLUE he had to mix with the paint to match the color.  There is a lot of blue in it.  I believe it is PEARL NOVELTY BLACK with a Suzuki Paint Code of 33J.

My 99 is that color. And my new 08 C50 appears to be the same color. I love that color.

Thanks for the responses guys!   Cheesy

I was just a little worried that maybe she was in a worse accident then I was told of, and that maybe black was sprayed over metalic blue   Grin

I guess I'll have to polish her up real good and hopefully the metalic blue will show better in the sun then!  Wink

My 03 is black and has like silver specks, never really noticed till cleaning it with some "lemon pledge", the sun hit it and I looked, thought, nice. Dont do the same with the wood stuff though it still looks like crap wood.
