What should the oil temp be during a long run in warm weather?

I don't know what the oil temperatures is but when I change my klotz oil , I can pull the drain plug out of the oil drain pan right away. Can't do that when I change my car oil.

There is such a thing as running the oil too cool. It has to be warmed up to somewhere around 180 or 190 degrees F to vaporize all the water (normal byproduct of combustion) out of it. The standard temperature for checking the viscosity is 212 F, 100 C, which was thought to be a good representative oil temperature for a warmed-up engine.

Thanks Versy- I did a search for that thread but couldn't find it.
The gauge I am using measures the oil as it drips down from the head.

I am getting 212-248 deg measurements with the above guage.
