Funny story, my wife was pregnant in the summer of 08 and we went on a family vacation to Disneyland with the 3 kids, ages 11, 6 & 1.5 at the time. Since she was only about 8 weeks pregnant she took it easy on the trip and didn't overexert herself.
Since my wife is a RN in Labor & Delivery, when we got back from the trip she decided to do an ultrasound on herself one night at work when it was slow (she works the night shift). About 3am I get a call and she is telling me that we are going to be having twins!!! I tell her bullsh!t and hang up the phone. A few minutes later she calls me back and tells me she is not kidding and I wake up enough to realize she is telling the truth.
The next day she calls her DR since he is on call that night and he does another ultrasound on her to confirm and then he calls me personally to tell me that we are having twins. (This is after he had told us about 2 weeks earlier that there was just 1 heartbeat that he could hear at her DR appointment)
Just goes to show that you never know what life has in store for you
